About 20 residents had a tasty morning raising funds for a great cause, at the Macmillan Coffee morning at Links View.
It’s the great thing about assisted living communities. Even when you’re not as agile and able to get about, you can still take part in events like this.
All the facilities are around you to make your life much easier – all you have to do is join in!
Ours was one of many successful Macmillan Coffee Mornings.
The annual fundraiser took place all over the UK on 28 September this year. It’s a huge fundraiser for the charity. In 2016 alone the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raised a whopping £29.5 million.
Everyone enjoyed their tea, coffee and cake. Residents paid for their hot drink and cake, some donated cakes were sold and a raffle held.
All in all the residents at this Links View fundraiser collected £98.36!
